No, sorry, we only ship to the USA.

Where are you located?

Just Quilt It is located at 111 E Ryder St, Litchfield, IL.

What hours is Just Quilt It open?

We are currently open Tuesday thru Friday 10am – 4pm.

We are closed on Monday, Saturday, and Sunday.

If you are unable to make it to the store during our available hours, please feel free to call or email us to schedule an appointment outside of our regular business hours. We are always happy to assist.

Please keep in mind that Just Quilt It is a small store with only one staff member (Trish…the owner), so if I have a doctor appointment, take a day off, or go on vacation the store is closed as there is no one else available to work. Any such closings are posted on our Facebook page.

Does Just Quilt It have a Facebook page?

Yes, please visit our page and like / follow our page. We routinely post pictures of quilts we are working on. Many customers follow our page to see when their quilt is pictured on our page as “Under my needle today”.

Do you carry thousands of bolts of fabric?

No, sorry, we are a small store and can’t even try to compete with the big box stores. We focus on providing a large selection of wide quilt backings and basic fabrics to complete your projects. 

How expensive is your fabrics?

We are a small shop and have low overhead. We try to keep our prices low. Since we are a small shop, we unfortunately can’t offer as wide of a selection as larger quilt shops. We focus on providing a large selection of wide quilt backings and 44” basic fabrics, such as solids, blenders, tonals, white on whites, etc. 

Do you hold classes?

YES, please check our Classes & Events page to see the current class offerings. 

Why was Just Quilt It started in the first place?

This is all Grandma Mary’s fault! 

Grandma pushed me in the direction to follow in her footsteps and not let her quilting legacy end. I was inspired by her love of quilting, love of family, and her never wavering faith in the Lord. So, now I try to follow her lead and instill this passion in the hearts of my own children. Inspired by Grandma, I now try to share my own passion for quilting, family, and faith with everyone I meet.

QUILTING SERVICE QUESTIONS:

Do you provide hand quilting services?

NO.

Do you provide custom machine quilting with different quilting patterns in the blocks and borders?

No, we provide hand guided edge-to-edge patterns only.

Is the quilting service computerized?

No, not at this time, however, we may in the future.

Do you set together quilts if the customer has hand embroidered quilt blocks?

Yes, please call or drop by to discuss how we can finish your quilt for you. 

Do you make T-shirt quilts?

Yes, please visit our online store and check out our T shirt quilt options.

Do you quilt with different colors of thread on the top and bottom of the quilt? 

No, we use the same color of thread on the top and the bottom of the quilt.

How long does it take to finish the quilting service?

We strive for a 3-6 week turnaround time from when we receive your quilt top to when it is finished.

How long does it take to make a T-shirt quilt or other made to order quilt?

Please allow 6-8 weeks.

Are there any additional fees for services that are not listed on the website?

Yes, we charge for sewing labor, specialty threads, insurance on shipping, mending, ironing, etc. These items are priced on an individual basis depending on what services are requested.

Does Just Quilt It provide heirloom quilting, stitching in the ditch, or outline stitching?

No, these are all considered custom quilting. Just Quilt It does not provide custom quilting services.

I have an idea for a quilt I want made, can Just Quilt It make a special quilt for me?

Yes, we provide made to order quilt services.

Does the quilt batting and backing need to be larger than the quilt top?

Yes, the batting and backing should be 4 - 6 inches larger on all sides of the quilt.

Can I send a pieced backing, regular 44” fabric, or a sheet to use as the backing?

Yes, however there are some things you should know first.

Just Quilt It prefers that if you piece your backing that all seams run horizontal across the quilt because it lays better during the quilting process. 

Regular 44” fabric can be sent with your quilt top to use as the backing. We will sew it together for you for a small fee. Please make sure there is enough fabric to make the back 4-6” larger than the top on all sides. 

Bed sheets for backing, although it is not recommended, if you choose to send a bed sheet with your quilt to use as the backing we will use it. Make sure that all seams are removed from the sheet and that it is at least 4-6 inches larger than the quilt top on all sides.

Does the quilt top, batting, and backing need to be basted before it is brought to Just Quilt It for quilting?

NO. Please do not baste the layers together. Each layer of your quilt is loaded individually onto the quilting machine. 

I want to make sure that my quilt is finished professionally, how much experience does Just Quilt It have with machine quilting?

We have been sewing for over 40 years. We have provided machine quilting services for over 20 years.

What colors of thread does Just Quilt It offer? What about variegated thread or metallic thread?

Just Quilt It does not offer quilting services using variegated threads or metallic threads at this time. We have a large selection of solid thread colors to choose from.

Does Just Quilt It offer binding services to finish my quilt?

YES, we offer machine finished binding services for straight edge quilts. We attach binding by machine and finish the binding by machine. Please send a yard of uncut 44” fabric for us to make the binding. We do not offer binding services for scalloped or special edge quilts. We also do not make and attach prairie points.
